This past week, we had a moment of flowers. After storm upon storm, we had a few dry days… and flowers rose from the mud!

I have no idea why. It wasn’t warm, or even very sunny. But for one day I had lilies and daffodils and a few hardy others.

And then another rainstorm rolled in. Now the daffodils are crumpled to the ground, and all the others are looking very sad indeed. But for one sweet moment, we had flowers! And that blessing, that little blast of color and life, is why I call this blog Romance All Around Us. Because it’s there, in the mud, in the cold, in between rains, in an abandoned garden amongst the weeds. Romance is there, we just have to take the time to look.
