Getting a new book cover is always exciting. The file arrives in my inbox and I click on it with a mixture of fear and excitement. Fear because honestly, I’ve had a few covers from Harlequin that I didn’t love. Excitement because sometimes they’re amazing and I feel like I’ve been given the best gift!
The cover for my September book, Rescuing the Rancher, felt like one of those special gifts. I was so excited to see Chip the cattle dog on the cover!

I call Rescuing the Rancher my wildfire book because my hero and heroine have to survive a wildfire out on his remote ranch. I did so much research into firefighting and how they might survive if the fire got out of control. It was a fun and challenging story to write. It’s a very heartfelt book, especially as the hero, Aidan, comes to terms with his tragic past. I really hope everyone enjoys it!
Here is the official description:
She’ll help protect his ranch… and heal his heart
Firefighter Jade Carson needs to get the local residents out of a wildfire’s path, but Aidan Bell isn’t moving. Still grieving a tragedy, the stubborn rancher plans to stay and save his animals. Jade and Aidan battle the blaze on his property, only to feel the spark of something unexpected. Secrets are shared, hope kindles…but can they leave the past’s ashes behind and let love grow?
