A new book release is always so fun! There goes my story, Second Chance Cowboy, off into the world and into the hands and imaginations of other people.
And then the hoping begins. Hope that readers will love the characters like I did. Hope that I provided enough detail and spark to bring the scenes to life. Hope that the story provides an escape and some fun and relaxation. And if all goes perfectly, that it touches readers’ hearts.
But the other fun part of book release is the socializing that comes with it. Most of this happens for me on Facebook right now, because that is where I help host some fun groups for romance readers.
On Wednesday I got to hang out with readers in the Must Love Cowboys Facebook group, which is devoted to women who love reading western romance novels.
Today, Friday, I spent some time in the Coffee, Cupcakes and Contemporaries Facebook group. This is for women who love all contemporary romance novels, not just books with cowboys. Since we call Fridays ‘Cupcake Fridays’ in this group, I got to incorporate coffee and cupcake themes into my posts, which is always fun. And also makes me wish I had a chocolate cupcake right about now!

On Tuesday, March 9th, I’m visiting my friend and fellow author Heatherly Bell’s Facebook page, for cup of tea and a Facebook Live chat about my new book. That’s at 4:00 pm pacific time, if you care to join us.
I’m also taking over the Harlequin Heartwarming Facebook Page next Thursday, March 11th. That’s always fun since the page has such a lovely theme of wholesome, clean romance novels, family, cooking, crafts, small towns, cute animals…all the best things in life, if you ask me!
March 15th to March 24th
My book release celebration ends with a grand finale this time. Prism Book Tours is taking Second Chance Cowboy on a blog tour! This will run from March 15th until March 24th. Bloggers will post excerpts and reviews of the book, and at each tour stop you can enter to win an Amazon gift card!
I will post the tour schedule here on my blog, and you’ll also be able to find it on the Prism Book Tours website starting March 15th.
And then, when all this is done, Second Chance Cowboy will be officially out in the world. Book release month is always fun, but at the end of it, I’m happy to let the book go and get to work on something new. That way I can send more stories of hope, home and happily ever after out into the world!
